About me

Hi, I’m Jacquie Navarro, class of 2028 at Inglemoor High School in Kenmore, Washington. Currently, I am a starting outfielder for my high school, hitting leadoff. Softball has been a large part of my life for the past 9 years.
When I first started playing softball, I was not the best, and I didn’t enjoy it. My dad encouraged me to start practicing more. I noticed I wasn’t as good as the other players. I would hear them talk about playing select ball and I wanted to play too. My dad signed me up for a summer camp after that season. I greatly improved my swing and my defense. In the summer of 2021, I tried out for many select teams, but only made one team. We didn’t win a lot over the course of 3 seasons, but I steadily improved every year. Best of all, I enjoyed playing with my teammates who became close friends.
With a desire to improve I began spending more time in the weight room, in the cages, at camps and taking lessons from instructors. Last season I decided I needed to level up and play for a more competitive team where I currently play, Elevate Fastpitch.
I’ve learned that softball is a game of failure. I realized that everyone fails and that it can teach me how to grow and improve. Off the softball field, I enjoy playing volleyball and skiing. Academics are very important to me. I currently take pre-International Baccalaureate (IB) and plan to graduate with an IB diploma. In college I plan to major in biomedical engineering.
Softball has always been very important to me, teaching me perseverance and time management. It has brought me many friendships that I cherish. As I continue my softball career, I’m excited to continue building my skills and contributing to my team’s success while maintaining my grades.
